John F. Wood, Jr., Chairman of the Commerce and Government Matters Committee for the state of Maryland made an onsite visit of the MHC Prosthetics facility. The topics discussed were the needs and opportunities for the mentally and physically challenged residents of Maryland, the third party insurance position as it pertains to the challenged residents of Maryland, and the cost-saving of rehabilitation.

Mr. Wood also toured the orthotic (custom fabricated braces) and prosthetic (artificial limbs) facility. Dr. Wheatley and Dr. Grayson utilize 21st Century technology in fabricating devices for helping the physically challenged. They are the only orthotics and prosthetics laboratory that has the state-of-the-art "Tracer" CAD-CAM in the state of Maryland. Mr. Wood was explained the requirements and level of education, technology and expertise to be American Board Certified (ABC) in the disciplines of Orthotics and Prosthetics.
